NFL 2010: Early Las Vegas Betting Lines & Picks for October 10th

The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook and Jay Korneguy have put themselves on the line for a total of 80 NFL Games of the Week. The NFL Games of the Week featured for the week of October 10th, highlight some interesting rivalry match ups and some creative inter league games.Sunday October 10th, 2010.
New York Giants vs Houston Texans -3.
This game early in the 2010 NFL season will establish which way each of these teams is going. The New York Giants started the 2009 NFL season on fire and then slowed to a simmer to end their season. This game in Houston’s Reliant Stadium will not be a good road trip for Eli Manning and his New York Giants.

Houston’s high powered offense will give the New York Giants defense all they can handle. Matt Schaub and his receiving corps should have an easy time of it versus New York. Look for this game to have an abundance of scoring with New York having to score in garbage time. Give the over a look once it is posted on this game. Take Houston -3 to beat New York.

New Orleans Saints -5.5 vs Arizona Cardinals.
The New Orleans Saints will have a tough 2010 NFL season but this will not be one of their tougher games. Arizona will still be trying to work with Matt Leinert this early in the season and this may be the game that lands Leinert back on the bench. Arizona may have circled this game on their calenders but they will be no match for New Orleans. Take New Orleans -5.5 on the road, normally not good to bet against a 5 point home dog but don’t worry on this one.

San Diego Chargers 6.5 vs Oakland Raiders.
San Diego did not cover against Oakland in their Week One battle to start the 2009 NFL season and this should be more of the same. Oakland is not the doormat they were in 2009 but they aren’t going to set the NFL on fire either. San Diego is destined to win a minimum of 10 games but this won’t be on of them. Take Oakland +6.5 and bet them straight up to win the game.

Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers -1.
This could be an interesting game 5 games into the NFL season. If San Francisco has their running game in gear, they will be a solid pick in this game. Philadelphia has struggled on their West Coast swings and this may be another one of those dismal performances. It will be Kevin Kolb’s first test on the West Coast and he is the key in this game. Stay away from this game until it draws closer.

Monday October 11, 2010.
Minnesota Vikings vs New York Jets -2.5
Another game that will have some unknowns is this Monday Night Football tilt. Will Brett Favre be in a Minnesota uniform? Will Mark Sanchez suffer through his sophomore jinx? The answer to both questions is yes and the New York Jets being favored by 2.5 is a tough line to bite on. Minnesota’s defense will be the key in this game, they will confuse Mark Sanchez and keep him off balance. Take Minnesota and the 2.5 points. Favre won’t lose on Monday Night Football.
